Ask any of Emma’s friends and regular house guests and they will tell you that Em is a true “foodie” who cooks from scratch and advocates “slow cooking”. Emma takes time to source her ingredients locally and is proud of the fact that Austria’s bio (organic) boom is number 1 in Europe and that there are more bio farmers in Austria than anywhere else.

Home cooking in Tyrol


Quality, flexibility and flair are assured in all that Emma creates in her kitchen and she loves to pamper her guests. Some of her personal favourite signature dishes on her menu are:


. Indian Style Butter Chicken

. Chocolate Brownies with Raspberry Sauce and Icecream

. 5 Star Marinated Roasted Duck with Orange, Hazelnuts, Rocket and Roasted Potatoes

. Bieramisu


Special diets are well catered for at Pension Haus Alpenblick, every night there is a vegetarian meal on offer and guests who chose to be Vegan or follow a Lactose or Gluten Free Diet just need to make a reservation with a dietary requirement.


Many a guest has commented on the comfort they feel when they wake, in our pension in Tyrol, in the mornings or arrive home at the end of a fabulous day to the delicious smells wafting up from the kitchen. There is always a favourite on the menu!  To read some reviews follow this link.


The cuisine in Tyrol is also well represented, our pension in the Tyrol is the perfect place to enjoy the wonderfully down to earth culinary treats of the Brixen valley and the Alps.  Whilst its not the Rosengarten, this charming guesthouse provides a great example of dining in tyrol.

Sharing her passion for cooking is also a priority and Emma likes nothing more than to get a enthusiastic small group into her kitchen for one of her “cook with me classes”. Join Emma for a few hours making “Dumplings from around the world” or “Cooking  with Beer”, ”Finger food” and “Tyrolean Specialties”.

The evenings are a perfect time to unwind in our small bar whilst enjoying one of our diverse beers. In 2009 Chris undertook intensive study in both Germany and Austria to qualify as a Dip. Bier Sommelier.  Take the time to talk with Chris and gain an insight in to the interesting world of beer.
