Your hosts at Haus Alpenblick - the guesthouse in Kirchberg in Tyrol with a warm welcome.

Meet our family at this cosy pension in Tyrol!

Upon buying Haus Alpenblick and settling in Kirchberg in 2002.  Emma and Chris started a long journey of love and commitment to restoring the charming old wooden house that is Haus Alpenblick and as a consequence making it their home.  Constant renovations have been carried out in a way that maintains the rustic charm of the house and keeps the traditional features that you would expect to see at a pension in Tyrol.

Emma and Chris with Niki and Seppi

After relocating to Austria from their homes, Australia and New Zealand, Emma and Chris have grown to love the Tyrolean country side as much as their home.  Having been guests in the Kirchberg themselves they are well able to treat their guests to a special stay in Austria.  10 years of experience with guests and living onsite in this romantic guesthouse as locals has given both the hands on local experience and know-how that their guests enjoy.  At all times guests are welcome to use them as a sounding board and for guidance for making their holiday in Tyrol just how they want it to be.  Being a host and entertaining guests to their heart’s content has always been a focus at Haus Alpenblick.

With their two sons, Seppi and Niki, Emma and Chris spend their days entertaining, assisting and treating their guests as best they can.

Being a true international family English, German and Dutch is spoken at this friendly pension in Kirchberg. Guests are welcomed like family and its the personal touches that make for a wonderful stay. Quality and service are important at Haus Alpenblick and equally vital is personally caring for guests.  You will find Emma mostly in the Kitchen or putting the finishing touches on the house and guest rooms with their team and Chris either up a mountain or putting his skills as a Beer Sommelier into practice behind the bar.

Doris our Mascot and in-house reporter

Doris is our mascot, she is surely the most adventurous cow you’ll ever meet. Doris is also your personal reporter and writes on a regular basis here on our website. Unlike her sister, Daisy, who sleeps under a grand piano by the seaside in Portsmouth (England), Doris is an intrepid traveller.  She came to Europe and stayed with us as a guest then decided to work in our team. Doris does all the exciting things with our visitors and tests everything first. She’s a a pretty wild woman and is big on extreme sports. She also has a quieter side, likes gentle walks and enjoys restful days which she uses for discovering nature.  Don’t tell her she’s only made of paper - she won’t believe you.

And seriously, anything is possible - if Doris can do it, you should give it a go too!
