The ski areas around our guesthouse in Kirchberg in Tyrol

Kirchberg lies in the centre of the Kitzbuehel Alps region.  There are several ski pass options because we are also connected with the Wilder Kaiser Ski Area.

In the Kitzbuehl ski area Kirchberg has a substantial proportion of the lifts in the valley leading up to the next village of Aschau.  This is a huge benefit for access to the pistes in comparison with the town Kitzbuehel its self. This is especially handy in the mornings and evenings when everyone is trying to get up the mountain. It also has direct access via the pengelstein lift up to the 3s gondola for those wishing to access Jochberg and the parts of the ski field that are further away.

Via the Ki-west lift guests can also access the Wilder Kaiser Ski Area and ski around Westendorf and Brixen and further.

Its great to have the pass for the larger area, "Allstar ski pass" because it is not too much more expensive than the local "Kitzbuehel Ski Pass" and it gives you a huge choice of pistes.  The local pass covers a considerable ski area though and you can easily take a week to explore it all.

If you are a complete beginner you should wait to buy your ski pass as there are several free beginners lifts that you may want to practise on until you are ready to go up the mountain.  These are also ideal for families with beginners as you can work through various levels of difficulty in the valley for free before going up the top.
